I didn’t retain a lot from using this kannji, but perhaps it would make an interesting coffee table referenc I purchased this book as a sort of visual mnemonic to learn kanji, but if you are seriously studying the language, it probably isn’t as helpful as it could be. The best way to learn it is to go there yourself. Drawings are very imaginative. Had I not already picked up WaniKani, this would’ve been a great addition to my studies, though it has some pretty large draw-backs.

The content of this book is almost entirely kanji with an image to help depict the meaning to help you remember it. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I still can’t see these pictures working for me.

It doesn’t have any stroke order information so that you could draw the characters yourself. Even if some of the pictures can be a bit of a stretch, haha. I also felt a lot of the images were stretches. For one, the pictures for the most part remain true to their meaning and do not venture off into more abstract areas to explain the kanji.
