Hank Haney’s Essentials of the Swing: Hank certainly never did that to Butch Harmon when he started teaching Tiger.
As someone else mentioned, this is not a book about your entire game. Using this impact plane instead of the address plane, the “parallel planes” technique is very solid. It’s all about the full swing.

This is because its actually easier to draw the driver when you naturally create a plane which is in-to-out of the Target Line through the impact zone, which is one half of the requirement for an accurate draw.

One of the best books I’ve read with useful game improving tips. If you are short of parallel, the club will be aimed to the left of the target line, and if you are past parallel, it will be aimed to the right of essentiqls target line assuming you are a right handed player.
