Nightshdae when it comes down to it, I liked the sense of community and purpose and lifestyle Calla lived in at the beginning of the series. All I have to say is, I’m for Ren all the way. You are as blind as a bat, not knowing a good thing if it hit you in your bitch ass face!! There’s keeping Ansel safe, even if he’s been branded a traitor. I especially liked the epilogue, which was not told in first person nighsthade of view.
It wasn’t as if Shay was anywhere near Ren.
Andrea Cramer does a great job balancing drama, action, and emotions in her books and up until the last portion of the book, I was loving it. Andrea Cremer is the internationally bestselling author of the Nightshade series, which includes NightshadeWolfsbaneBloodroseSnakerootRiftand Rise. Shay ruined everything but so did Calla in the end.
It’s still an easy read – the way Andrea Cremer writes makes the language flow easily and you read 50 pages in an hour if you give yourself the time – but the messy story, mainly the romance part, made me put it on hold several times. I was not expecting this book to be this cruelly disappointing.
But I can’t think about them without thinking about Ren and bursting into tears. Thanks for breaking my heart and stomping on the pieces, Cremer. Shay shouldn’t have lived!!!

It was too soon. Oh, my poor Ren. The way she stood over Ren’s body and at first refused to let anyone near him really pulled at my heart. Alright, I literally just opened a goodreads account so I noveo write this review for Bloodrose.

SO like Bloodtose said, I’m having a hard time rating this book, because although I enjoyed the story, I hated the love story. Though I assume the outcome from the first page, I felt Andrea Cremer felt the need to handle things a certain way so that some could accept Calla’s fate.
This is Calla and Ren’s book!
